Taut thriller in which a cruel doctor plans the perfect murder when he discovers that his wife is having an affair. He kidnaps her lover and holds him in a cellar, but while he prepares to carry out the execution and dispose of the evidence, a complex relationship develops between the men, and a detective is painstakingly piecing together the clues.
