When Nina's (Laura San Giacomo) husband goes on a working trip for a few weeks, she meets and starts an affair with a British photographer (Paul Rhys), in the hope that she will rekindle the passion she still feels for her husband.

The story in this movie is told in the form of an interview with a journalist (Michael O'Keefe) writing about adultery. He is talking with both Nina and the photographer about their affair in two separate interviews.

Through this journalist we learn about the couple and their attitudes towards adultery.
