Broad farce about the accident-prone Griswald family, who win a European holiday on an American TV quiz show and wreak havoc across the continent from Paris to Bavaria. The holiday turns out be dirt-cheap, from communal hotel bathrooms shared with weird strangers to a three-minute tour of the Louvre. Nevertheless, the Griswalds are determined to enjoy themselves.
