Tom Cruise returns for another action-packed outing as agent Ethan Hunt. This time the intrepid espionage expert has been tasked with destroying a genetically engineered virus which has fallen into the hands of defected Impossible Missions Force (IMF) cohort Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott). At the behest of his mission commander (Anthony Hopkins), Hunt must recruit Ambrose's alluring ex-lover, Nyah (Thandie Newton), to help him track down the bad guy and prevent the deadly virus from being released. Exhilarating thrills and spills follow as the action ramps up and Ethan and Nyah grow closer.

John Woo's sequel to 1996's Mission: Impossible, provides a double dose of electrifying action with a raft of explosive stunts. A visual treat, the director slips in several of his trademark stylised shoot-outs, with sequences such as a breathtaking motorbike chase and the cracking opening that sees Hunt scale the Australian landscape looking phenomenal in. Cruise is terrific as the all-action hero and creates a sizzling chemistry with love interest Newton in this slick and stylish action blockbuster.
