Director Penny Woolcock's film takes the night as its central premise, with Kelli Hollis as Tina, living on a Leeds housing estate with her unruly kids. The estate is pretty evenly split between white and Asian families, which allows Tina to meet up with her ex-lover Immie, now stuck in a loveless arranged marriage. But there are underlying tensions, with the mullah at the local mosque showing jihad-promoting videos and both sides involved in the local, lucrative and roaring drugs trade. As Mischief Night approaches, the racial tensions begin to reach a dangerous level. When is Mischief Night next on TV?
