Will Smith (pictured) and Tommy Lee Jones return as the alien-busting MIB agents in this highly entertaining sci-fi comedy sequel (2002). Set four years on from the events of the original movie, Agent J (Will Smith) is still working for the highly secretive government agency in their mission to regulate all things alien on planet Earth while stopping the scum of the universe from their endless attempts to cause intergalactic destruction.

In his latest case, J investigates a seemingly routine crime only to uncover a fiendish plot masterminded by Serleena, a diabolical Kylothian monster who has disguised herself as a lingerie model (Lara-Flynn Boyle) with the aim of bringing an end to the human race. The only person with the skills to overcome an alien like Serleena is J's former partner and mentor K (Tommy Lee Jones). The problem is, K retired from the MIB at the end of the first film and has since had all memories of his earlier career wiped away at the flash of a 'neuraliser', moving on to a new life and a new job in the slightly less dangerous world of the postal industry. This sparks an amusing role reversal where J must become K's tutor in extraterrestrial enforcement, at least until they can find a way of 'de-neuralising' K and restoring his memory. With the pair of them finally back in black they soon set about kicking some seriously sexy alien butt.

With Barry Sonnenfeld, who helmed the original, returning to the director's chair, this blockbuster is another action-packed rollercoaster ride of hi-tech special effects and razor-sharp wit. And while the on-screen chemistry between the two lead actors is what made both this, and the first outing, so successful, the supporting roles, whether actual actors or computer-generated aliens, add greatly to the comedy.

Jackass star Johnny Knoxville features as an insidious multiheaded alien and Tony Shalhoub returns to have his head blown off on several occasions only for it to grow back again. Plus, the chain-smoking, espresso-drinking alien worms also reappear and there's a far meatier role for the wise-cracking pug dog Frank, who's also now a suit-wearing member of MIB. This film is great fun from start to finish.
