Henry is captivated by the enigmatic inmate and smuggles the necessary tools in to him, spiriting them away at the end of his shift. Henry finds Carl's memoirs compelling reading but the brutal truth Carl has written and boasted about eventually reveals itself in a shocking attack on a prison officer.
