Inspired by Jules Verne's classic tale, this contemporary take sees volcanologist Trevor Anderson (Brendan Fraser) journeying to the Earth's core after discovering evidence that the famous author's story was based on fact. Accompanied by his teenage nephew Sean (Josh Hutcherson) and fellow scientist Hannah (Anita Briem), Trevor is soon coming face-to-face with an astonishing and extremely perilous hidden world.

A virtual roller coaster ride of thrills and spills, Journey to the Center of the Earth is a special effects bonanza full of excitement, danger and imaginative creatures.

With great support from Bridge To Terabithia star Hutcherson, this is a huge slice of energetic family fun and guaranteed to keep kids glued to the telly throughout.
