In this excellent comedy romance, released in 1996, Tom Cruise plays Jerry Maguire, a sports agent who finds he has to fight to survive when he strikes out on his own. After being fired for writing a progressive mission statement stressing the need for quality over quantity in his company, he tries to take his clients with him but is able to persuade only one.

He then begins the long fight back to the top with the help of a former colleague Dorothy Boyd (Renée Zellweger) who has romantic feelings for him. Can Jerry save his career while staying true to himself?
