Richard Marquand's thriller genuinely deserves its 'edge-of-seat' description. Glenn Close is the lawyer who reluctantly takes up the case of publisher Jeff Bridges, who is accused of murdering his wife for her money. As the trial develops, so she are kept guessing right to the very last minute as to whether Bridges is an innocent man or a cunning, manipulative murderer.
