World War II drama about the personal and professional lives of two US Navy officers at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor. One is sent on a futile mission to try to sink the long-gone enemy fleet, and the other discovers that his wife has been killed in an air raid while on a clandestine meeting with another man.
