Powerful TV drama about a poor single father who cannot afford to feed his children after he is made redundant. A wealthy doctor gets involved in the family's plight when one of the children begins suffering from malnutrition, but the former factory worker is too proud to accept the financial help the medic offers. Nominated for two Emmy Awards.
