Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire (2005)
Written by Steven Kloves, J.K. RowlingDirected by Mike NewellRunning Time: 150 minutes (approx)Production Year: 2005Rating: 12 CertificateProduction Country: UK/USAFilmed in ColourThe excellent Harry Potter series of films, based on J.K. Rowling's books, kept up a high standard with this, the fourth in the saga, released in 2005. If anything this film was even better than its predecessors, with a darker edge (in line with the novels) and more elaborate effects, although some fans were unhappy with storyline and character omissions. Now aged 14, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is mysteriously entered into the dangerous Triwizard Tournament, confronting a deadly dragon, fierce water demons and an enchanted maze, only to find himself in the cruel grasp of He Who Must Not Be Named. A strong edition to the series, most of the regular cast - including Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger - are on board, while there's a super cameo from Miranda Richardson. Director Mike Newell really excels, bringing the best out in the cast and making Hogwarts a truly magical place. However Newell's vision was scarier than previous Potter films, giving it a 12 rating. Highly recommended. Cast
