Christopher Lambert is Gideon, a man with the mind of a child, sent to live in an old people's home. His fellow residents seem content to wait for death but Gideon restores their enthusiasm for life. Charlton Heston plays a philosophy professor who takes an interest in Gideon. Touching and thoughtful fare, with Lambert in unusual territory far from his Highlander roles.
