Elvis Presley plays Mike Windgren, a former trapeze artist who's lost his nerve since dropping his partner. Working as a lifeguard and entertainer at an Acapulco resort, he falls for the social director Margarita Dauphine who helps him overcome his fear of heights. Classic tunes in Richard Thorpe's film include the title song, Bossa Nova Baby, and Marguerita, and there's an early un-credited appearance by Teri Garr.
