Kenneth Branagh directs and stars as Victor Frankenstein in this lavish adaptation of Mary Shelley's legendary Gothic horror. A promising young doctor, Frankenstein is devastated by the death of his mother and becomes obsessed with bringing the dead back to life. His experiments lead to the creation of a monster from the remains of corpses - but his desire to play God has terrible consequences.
