Action-comedy about a wisecracking Los Angeles reporter working undercover as a homeless beach-bum on a drug-dealing story. Fletch smells a rat when a wealthy businessman offers him 50,000 dollars if he can kill the cancer-ridden executive and follow the foolproof escape plan. Unable to resist, the reporter pretends to agree and sets out to unravel the mystery behind the man and his suicidal plan
