In this brilliant TV movie, Yance (Omar Epps) is a young delinquent who goes to jail for the possession of drugs. During his sentenceing, Yance is given an opportunity, and choice. He is given the choice of 5 years in jail or just a couple of months in a boot camp. Of course he chooses boot camp, thinking that it will be some form of holiday and then when finished he can return to his hood and his old ways. However he soon finds out that it is a lot tougher than he thought it would be. He braves it through and comes home a better man. Now home, he has to deal with the real world, his old friends, acquaintences and the haunting of his old ways, yet he never gives up no matter what the odds are that are thrown his way.
