When a futuristic war criminal escapes from his own execution he soon finds his way to a scientific research vessel parked near a star shortly before it goes nova.

The crew consist of a doctor, his wife and their teenage daughter. Now the question asks whether they survive the criminal's rampage and still get to safety before the planet explodes?
