Black comedy. Nick and Tim are best friends, next-door neighbours, and work together at the same sandpaper factory. When Nick comes up with the 'Vapooriser' - the latest in a long line of get-rich-quick schemes - Tim is dismissive. But when the invention is a success, Nick becomes increasingly rich while Tim becomes increasingly jealous. Matters come to a head when a drifter Tim meets in a bar gets involved.
