Biopic of celebrated actress and writer Fanny Kemble, who dedicated her life to abolishing the practice of slavery and supporting the Underground Railroad. After witnessing the appalling treatment of Southern slaves, Kemble felt compelled to assist runaway slaves and publish her personal journal in order to bring about political change.
