Having revamped Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window to great effect in Disturbia, LeBeouf and D.J. Caruso reunite for this hi-tech riff on North By Northwest. With a brisk pace that doesn't give the audience a chance to think about any gaps in logic, Caruso's well-oiled thriller barrels along as LaBeouf and Monaghan find themselves in a series of increasingly imaginative scrapes. With a great supporting cast lending plausibility to some outlandish plot developments and a certain uncredited Oscar-nominated actress providing the clipped tones of the mystery caller, this is an unbeatable slice of popcorn entertainment delivered with noisy panache by Caruso.
