Richard Gere is a top gynaecologist, happily married to Farrah Fawcett and looking forward to the wedding of his daughter Kate Hudson. But when his wife loses her grip on reality, Gere copes by finding solace with Helen Hunt, the golfing pro at his club. As she shows him how to improve his 'technique', he must decide between family and love.
