Slightly predictable and silly thriller with shades of Ransom and Straw Dogs, lifted above the average with strong performances from Michael Douglas and Sean Bean.

Wealthy psychiatrist Dr Nathan Conrad (Douglas, pictured) has just a few hours to delve inside the troubled mind of his near-catatonic patient Elisabeth Burrows (Brittany Murphy, pictured). If he can't get her to reveal a six-digit number and deliver it to kidnapper Patrick B Koster (Bean), his daughter will die.

Watchable hokum.
