Sam Weisman's romantic comedy stars David Spade as Dickie Roberts, a big child star in the 70s but now in his 30s reduced to playing poker with other ex-child stars and waiting for his agent Sidney to ring. Then Dickie finds out the problem; because he missed out on a regular childhood, casting agents don't consider him life experienced. Determined to experience family life, he advertises for a real family and is soon living with George and Grace Finney and enjoying the pleasures of being a kid. But George and Grace's marriage is rocky and Georgie is, after all, a grown man.
