Frank Connor (Andy Garcia), is a play-by-the-book cop who resorts to desperate measures to secure a bone marrow donor for his ailing son.

However when the perfect DNA match turns out to be a dangerous sociopath (Michael Keaton), Frank faces a moral dilemma.
