Subterranean disaster flick starring Sylvester Stallone as a former Emergency Medic attempting to lead a handful of survivors to safety from the collapsing New Jersey Tunnel. A group of armed robbers fleeing the cops heads for the New Jersey Tunnel and runs right into trucks transporting toxic waste. The spectacular explosion that follows results in both ends of the tunnel collapsing and, with little chance of the central section lasting much longer, the handful of people who survived the explosion are now in peril. There is good news though, in the form of Kit Latura (Stallone), the only man with the skill and knowledge to lead the band of survivors out of the tunnel before the structure collapses.
