Feature-length outing for the dishevelled detective which formed the pilot for the long-running television series. A lawyer comes up with a clever plan to murder her husband, but after the deed is done, a seemingly slow-witted, slovenly homicide detective is assigned to the case. However, the detective is not nearly as incompetent as he appears to be.
