A huge hit upon its release in 2002, Chicago earnt a staggering 13 Oscar nominations, including a win in the prestigious Best Picture category and Best Supporting Actress for Catherine Zeta-Jones. But despite all its awards and huge box-office success, it wasn't universally popular with the critics, many considering it to be more akin to a stagy TV drama than an Oscar-worthy epic. Still, if you're a fan of the stage show, you're definitely enjoy this. If you're new to the story or are expecting another Moulin Rouge!, then it's probably one to avoid. When is Chicago next on TV?
