Lew Landers' crusading film stars Douglas Kennedy as Cliff Roberts, an investigative journalist who gets himself a job as a chain gang guard to expose both the other guard's brutality and the corrupt use of the convicts as cheap labour. Just as he is about to go public, he's rumbled and must flee for his life through the swamps, pursued by cops and their bloodhounds.
