Terrifying thriller about a released prisoner who seeks to gain revenge on his prosecutor. The sadistic psychopath, set free early from a sentence for rape and assault, has long nurtured an insane hatred of the lawyer who sent him to prison. He poisons the family dog and plagues the lawyer's wife with obscene calls, but that is only the beginning of his campaign of terror against the family. From John D MacDonald's classic novel.
