Blake Edwards's bittersweet romantic comedy stars Oscar-nominated Audrey Hepburn, the seemingly air-headed elegant socialite Holly Golightly whose façade hides pain and loss, and George Peppard as Paul Varjak, a blocked-writer with his own dark secrets who falls for her. As their Manhattan-based romance progresses, one of them will end up heart-broken.

The film won as Oscar for Henry Mancini's haunting score, including Moon River. All in all, it's the cat's whiskers.
