Based on the true story of Robert Stroud (Burt Lancaster) this film follows the life of Stroud after he has been condemned to life in solatary confinement in the notorious Alcatraz prison in San Francisco Bay.

He soon seeks solace from his forbidding existence through raising and selling birds.

    This was such a touching movie, it brought tears to my eyes a couple of times. The cast did a wonderful job with the movie, and it is definetly something I recommend for everyone to watch.
