Big Fish (2003)Written by Daniel Wallace, John AugustDirected by Tim BurtonRunning Time: 135 minutes (approx)Production Year: 2003Rating: PG CertificateProduction Country: USAFilmed in ColourThis fantasy drama, directed by Tim Burton, has its moments, but ultimately lacks clout. Albert Finney stars as a dying father who regales his disbelieving son (Billy Crudup) with tall tales of himself as a young man (played by Ewan McGregor, pictured). But do the man's far-fetched stories of giants, witches and circus performers contain a grain of truth? Released in 2003, the support cast includes Helena Bonham Carter, Danny DeVito, Jessica Lange, Steve Buscemi and Marion Cotillard. With such an impressive line-up, it's a shame that the film doesn't deliver a little bit more. Worth a look, though. Click to see when Big Fish is coming up on TV. Cast
