Bored airman Chris Burnett is on the verge of retiring, when he ventures into forbidden airspace and is shot down over Serbia. A nail-biting cat-and-mouse operation ensues, as snipers and tanks hunt the American, whilst a US admiral fights NATO bureaucrats to rescue him.
