When one regular asks for Ghostbusters, acting manager Mike (Mos Def) and Jerry cobble together a 20-minute remake using an old camcorder. The results are terrible, but it's not long before they are remaking every requested film. Robocop, Rush Hour, 2001: A Space Odyssey... no plot is too tricky for the feckless duo. But as word spreads and business picks up, the laws of copyright catch up with them and their stock is, once again, destroyed. Is it curtains for the store? Mike, Jerry and Mr Fletcher have an idea for an original movie, but will anybody watch it? Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind) puts the full force of his imagination to good use as writer and director of this feather-light comedy. Who else could successfully pull together the whimsical tale of two New Jersey slackers making money with home video re-enactments of everything from Slimer's first gooey scuffle with a Ghostbuster to Morgan Freeman's Oscar®-nominated turn in Driving Miss Daisy?
