John Carpenter's second feature is a stylishly straightforward thriller in which cops and cons are trapped in a small LA precinct police station by a heavily armed gang gunning for one of the suspects being held inside. Edge-of-seat stuff with Austin Stoker, Darwin Joston and Laurie Zimmer holding the fort superbly.
