A notorious gangster must reconcile his past in order to make a future for his criminally-minded son. James 'Animal' Allen is guided towards the written words of Malcolm X while in prison, but when he is eventually released, he discovers that his son Darius has taken up a life of crime and seems bent on maintaining his father's legacy.
