Kevin Spacey stars in this hilarious satire on the American nuclear family, directed by Sam Mendes.

Telesales operative Lester Burnham (Spacey) becomes disillusioned with his existence and is determined to make changes. As he experiences a new awakening, his wife Carolyn (Annette Bening) and daughter Jane (Thora Birch) also have experiences that affect their family. And when Lester meets Jane's sexy college friend Angela (Mena Suvari), one thing leads to another....

Hugely critically acclaimed, the film, released in 1999, won Oscars for Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Film. Highly recommended.
