Family fun with Bud, a basketball playing dog whose skills on the court help a young boy rediscover his lust for life. When Josh (Kevin Zegers), a lonely boy, finds a golden retriever on the streets, he adopts it and soon discovers that the animal has a talent for basketball. The boy and the dog bond and soon Josh is on the court himself, learning a little about life in the process. Quite simply, the best basketball-playing dog movie you'll ever see.
