Sixties icon Christie was deservedly nominated for an Oscar for her electric performance as a fading movie star trying to deal with her husband's (Nolte) infidelities, in this moving drama about love, loss and relationships. Britpack star Jonny Lee Miller and Lara Flynn Boyle are excellent as the younger couple, also trying to conceal the cracks in their marriage. Superbly acted, graceful, and moving.

Nick Nolte, Julie Vie, Jonny Lee Miller. Dir: Alan Rudolph. US. (1997)
