The Walton family return a decade on. The kids have all grown up and are each facing their own personal challenges. Life on Walton Mountain continues with the trails and tribulations of the family. Erin and Paul have recently decided to get married. They set the date as Valentines Day. However, the unexpected return of Erin's ex-boyfriend, Ashley, causes problems as he is determined to win her back. Ben takes charge of the Lumber Mill business while father is in Arizona with their ailing mother. Mary Ellen is in medical school as her boyfriend Jonsey prepares to open up a veterinary clinic.
