Ellen Carlsson, one of a rich and powerful family, is shocked by the terrible death of her twin sister Dorothy and, convinced that it is a case of murder rather than suicide, moves to Philadelphia to investigate. Believing she has a prime suspect, Ellen is unaware that the real killer is a lot closer to home than she suspects.
