James Coburn plays an Irish mercenary who meets up with bank-robber Rod Steiger in revolution-torn Mexico where the former's expertise with explosives helps the latter pull off the biggest heist of his career. Inevitably, politics intervene and the pair find themselves reluctant freedom fighters taking on the army in Sergio Leone's final spaghetti western.
