A devout and socially conscious couple is found brutally slain. A prime suspect immediately presents himself: the couple's 17-year-old adopted son, who has a history of mental illness and violent behaviour. But appearances can be misleading, and as the cops and counsellors begin to dig deeper, they learn that the church-going parents were not the model mother and father whom everyone believed them to be.
