After his wife dies, a successful businessman, Philip Emmenthal, and his playboy son Storey decide to open a brothel by filling their home with eight and a half concubines.

The worldly women are of different nationalities and backgrounds, each with their own distinctive personality.

Philip decides to throw away his strait-laced and reserved attitude, immersing himself in adventure, pleasure and self-discovery, but at what cost to his welfare and household?
