Robert Altman's Cannes-award winning film stars Shelley Duvall, Sissy Spacek and Janice Rule. The first is a new worker at the solarium in a Caifornian apartment complex, the second tasked with showing her the ropes, the third the unhappy wife of the complex's owner. Altman follows their lives, with each at a different stage in their life yet all becoming slowly connected.
