BBC 2 is once again at the cutting edge of British fashion design as it hosts a fast-paced fashion extravaganza from the biggest event in the fashion calender, the Rover British Fashion Awards 2001.

From Battersea Park, this programme reports on all the action from the stage as the cream of the British fashion industry - designers, retailers and stylists - are honoured for their hard work.

They'll also be interviews with the winners and celebrioty guests and the star-studded ceremony culminates with the crowning of the British Designer of the Year.

Homage will be payed to Sir Paul Smith, knighted last year for his services to the British fashion industry, and the programme also takes a look back at British fashion in 2000.
