During the past two years my wife and I have very much enjoyed watching the various repeats of the detective series 'Wycliffe' shown on ITV3.

However, we find that some episodes have been repeated more than once whilst others have not been shown at all. Of the original 36 episodes originally screened on TV from 1994 to 1998, the following episodes never seem to have been included in the recent repeats:

Series 3: Episode 2 Number of the Beast

Series 3: Episode 5 Crazy for You

    Series 3: Episode 6 Faith

Series 4: Episode 7 To Sup with the Devil

Series 5: Episode 3 Standing Stone

'Crazy for You' was scheduled to be shown on 22.02.2008 but was replaced by an different episode!

Is there a reason why these episodes are constantly missing from the repeats and is there any way you can remedy this and show these five episodes in the near future.

    Thank you - David

When are Series 2 - 5 of Wycliffe due for release on DVD? I see Series 2 is now available in Australia but only on PAL region 4 so no good on UK players!

Wycliffe is one of my all time favourites which we watched avidly between 1994 and 1998 when we visited Cornwall every year.

Please bring out more on DVD!

Doesn't seem to be much point in asking these questions - I doubt if the webmaster knows the answers. At least David should have been satisfied by the transmission on 25th July.

But what about "The Cycle of Death" and "Dance of the Scorpions"?

"The Cycle of Death" was last shown May 2006 but it's not in the schedules as far as ours go ~2weeks.

"Dance of the Scorpions" was last shown in March 2008 and again it's not in the schedules.

If you used DigiGuide then you could create an alert for episodes you've missed and get a reminder hours or even days beforehand.

Not much good to you now I know, but 'Faith' has just been shown on ITV3 - amazingly I don't think I have seen this episode, certainly not since original showing in the 1990s. It may be repeated again now perhaps even later this week so watch out for it.

A question from someone in the United States who has just begun watching Season 1 on DVD: Could someone in the UK (or elsewhere) tell me whether the original episodes of Season 1 are 60 minutes in length? The episodes on the DVD sold here are each 50 minutes in length, but the first and third epsodes (I've only seen the first three) both seem like they have material cut out of them that would better explain what is going on.

    Thanks,

    CT

The title is not "Strangers Home", it is just "Strangers" - the "Home" bit comes from S4,Ep2 - "Close to Home"
