The team tries to determine if the same person is responsible for both crimes. As Martin and Danny work from the office, Jack and Samantha are forced to contend with the town's territorial and ineffective local sheriff, whose lead suspect for both cases is Curtis Horne, the lowlife boyfriend of the murdered girl. The team wonders if the missing Daisy may have gotten too close to the truth of Amber's murder when the agents discover that she recently hounded Reverend Isaac Bryce to discuss his now-deceased daughter. Daisy was obsessed with and outraged by the fact that Amber's killer had never been found.
